Sandy Lipkin, Founding Member
Sandy has been a licensed attorney in California since 2002 and has been licensed with the USPTO as a patent agent since 2000. Prior to her career as an attorney, she was an R&D chemist and a Senior chemist for a silicone manufacturer in Santa Barbara County. She has been in private practice since 2003 and is inspired daily by the creativity and courageousness of her clients, who are inventors and entrepreneurs. Sandy is very excited to be the founding member of Athena Power Solutions, LLC working in partnership with Dan Courselle to bring his innovative and important inventions to market. In her spare a time, she is a mother, an artist and musician, a regular yoga and martial arts practitioner and an advocate for children and adults with special needs.


Dan Courselle, Consultant/Inventor
Daniel Courselle has been a general contractor for 55 years. Dan is a proud Air Force Veteran of the Korean War having been activated from the ROTC at U.C. Davis and the Air Force Reserve in 1950. In College Daniel studied Agronomy and became fascinated with the growing efficiency of Hydroponics. Mr. Courselle sees himself as a farmer at heart always thinking on efficient ways to feed the nation, that's Dan, always solving problems and willing to tackle the biggest challenges. In fact, this love of innovation has propelled Mr. Courselle to revolutionize the way solar roofing systems are made, and he holds the patent for it.


David P Schlangen, Consultant
David P Schlangen graduated from the University of California – Santa Barbara, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and a Minor in History. My business career experience and knowledge have been gained as a Professional Project Manager at Amgen for 15 years and Farmers Insurance for 5 years. These positions have provided me with the tools and techniques to get projects done successfully, on time and under budget. David P Schlangen has furthered his Professional Project Management (PMP) certification designation with a Master’s Certificate from George Washington University in Project Management.


Michael Schlangen, Technology
Michael Schlangen has been working as a computer programmer for the last 20 years. His last job was at a company that worked on government contracts - mainly, but not limited to, finding land mines with airborne infrared sensors. Michael Schlangen was involved in the programming used to control the sensors and the programs used to process and analyze the data after the collections. His areas of strength include real-time, multi-processing programming in C/C++, Windows/Unix Graphical User Interface programming, and connecting with external hardware, such as frame grabbers and GPS units. I have also worked on web designing and database development. Michael Schlangen has a Bachelors of Science: Computer Science degree from California State University - Northridge (CSUN). His concentrated studies were in Operating Systems.
